  1. So, what does this step mean? I know; this is prolly a really stupid question. But I have to ask or I won't ever know. Thanks for the feedback in advance.

  2. I think it means to continually keep yourself in check and to right any wrongs as soon as they are done. It's hard for anybody to admit they screwed up, and it takes a strong person to do it, the stronger you feel, the less you have eating you up from the inside out, the less you have eating you up, the easier it is to keep on the up and up... and vise verse, I suppose this step works both ways.

  3. Im not really that keen on this step, here is why. I dont believe that keeping reminding yourself of your errors is healthy, While I would never say forget your past, dwelling on it I feel to be a dangerous step. I dont know if the step is intended to be meant in a way to keep us trapped in the past, but in my observations it is what I see people using this step for. I rather than would restate it this way. Take a personal look at what you have to offer yourself, your family, your community in your sober status, and concentrate on what you have to offer rather than what you have done. If you must get yourself caught up in the past use it to remind yourself of lessons learned, and how you can use such knowledge to keep yourself in a forward positive track. Rik

  4. Rik-- You think this is a step to reflect the past (like all the others)? Where are the steps to give hope for the future? Why even bother digging yourself out of the dark if there is no light showing from the end of the tunnel? Everybody needs something positive to look forward to, and those living in the dark searching for something better REALLY need something to look forward to. Why put a bunch of people searching for light together in a place to only dwell on the past? How is that suppose to help anyone?
